Free access to the internet

WLAN free of charge

Anywhere at Cologne Bonn Airport, all passengers and visitors can now surf in the Internet without any time restrictions – and that free of charge. The WLAN offer is available 24/7 and without any complicated registration procedures. Cologne Bonn Airport is the first, and so far the only, German airport to offer its guests this extensive service free of charge. The service is available both in the public areas in the Terminals and at the gates and waiting zones behind the security check.

All the users have to do is to register. All WLAN-compatible devices, such as smart phones, laptops or tablet PCs with all the standard browsers, can make use of this offer.

The cooperation partner for this service at Cologne Bonn Airport is the FairSpot Group, offering and operating the wireless network free of charge. The passenger selects the WLAN network "FairSpot-Public", opens the Internet browser and clicks on the home page and then on "Free registration".

Encryption technology ensures the user 100 percent data protection and privacy. A special user-friendly factor is that FairSpot does not promote advertising by any third parties. Uploads for file-sharing networks are not possible.
