Services for visitors

The observation deck offers our visitors an unrivalled view of the main runways, aprons and the cargo and military areas. Here they can get the blast of the turbines and watch the aircraft take-off and land. An ideal destination for technical freaks, but also for the whole family.

The observation deck is in Terminal 1 at "Stern C". It is open every day from 5.00 - 0.00 hours, and entrance is free.

Visitors with walking disabilities should contact the information desk at Terminal 1, departure level. Our Staff will organize a special assistance service.

Please note:
The observation decks are not open in the event of bad weather, storms or black ice. 

The visitors’ service at Cologne Bonn Airport provides guided tours for groups of 10 persons and more, with prior reservation. From Monday to Friday at 10.00 a.m., 10.30 a.m, 11.45 a.m., 12.45 p.m 13.30 p.m. and 15.15 p.m., you can gain an insight within this tour of  1 1/2 hours. The charge is € 5.40 for adults, €3.30 for students and senior citizens. 

Children and young persons, as well as pupils (classes) are free. Night tours are also possible (on request). Charge: €13.00 p.p.

Please note
All groups have to go through the security check, so please do not carry any sharp objects with you. You will also need an identity card or passport. As a precautionary measure, the aircraft and the tower are for security reasons not included in the tour.
